Located in Montclair, New Jersey, the Upper Montclair Business District is the center of the Upper Montclair neighborhood, and is its commercial center.
The center of the commercial zone is the intersection of Valley Road and Bellevue Avenue. To the west is the movie theater, Anderson Park, and the Upper Montclair Train Station which marks the western end of the area. To the east there are many shops and restaurants, the Mount Hebron Middle School, and the Montclair Public Library's Bellevue Branch. In both north and south there are shops and restaurants, in the south are the Upper Montclair Fire Station and Upper Montclair's Post Office.
The commercial zone has two public transportation options, trains or buses. New Jersey Transit's 28 bus to Newark and DeCamp's 66 to New York bus both run through the area. There are three official bus stops, two of them having benches and two shelters. Less than a block away from the center is the Upper Montclair Train Station which runs Monday through Friday with service to Hoboken, New York City, Newark, and other places in Essex, Passaic, Morris, and Warren Counties.
